My name is Sabrina Arce and I am currently in the eleventh grade. I am a 16 year old high school student, attending Miami Arts Studio 6-12. I am enrolled in the tech production magnet. I am a very creative and detail-oriented student. I am a drawing-loving 16 year old who was born and raised in Miami. My love for drawing and creating started when I was about seven or eight years old, when I moved to a different house. I would buy clay and make flowers and little people. I would also beg my mom let me re-vamp my things. I used to get old shirts and jeans and make purses out of it. When I would get bored of my regular clothing, I would cut my clothes and paint it to turn it into something new. To this day, I still do this but now I am more into just doodling and designing for others. When I was in elementary, I had an art teacher who never liked any of my work; because of her I became very insecure. I was very shy and scared to think outside the box because I didn't want to be judged. In middle school, I finally came to the realization that you can't always please everyone and that what others think of your art shouldn't affect you. I had to learn to be true to myself and make whatever type of art made me happy, even if it was weird. The weirdness is what made me who I am. I like to design and make things that anyone will be able to interpret regardless of where they are from and what language they speak. I have more confidence in my work now and have had my art chosen for the productions at school..
